New Delhi, 6th August. Amid escalating crisis in Bangladesh, the Indian government has scheduled an all-party meeting on Tuesday, sources revealed. The meeting, set to take place at Parliament House at approximately 10 am, aims to address the turmoil in the neighboring country.
Bangladesh has been thrown into uncertainty following unprecedented street protests over job quotas, which led to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and subsequent flight from the country. Diplomatic sources confirmed that Hasina has arrived in India en route to London.
In view of these developments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security on Monday to discuss the issue and strategize India’s response.
The all-party meeting is expected to focus on the implications of the crisis for regional stability and India’s diplomatic and strategic interests in South Asia.
