Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media ahead of the Budget Session 2025 at the Parliament today, highlighting the government’s mission mode approach toward India’s comprehensive development. In his address, PM Modi emphasized that the government’s focus is not just on economic development but also on social and geographical inclusivity.

The Prime Minister began his remarks by paying homage to Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of prosperity, and prayed for blessings on the nation’s poor and middle-class communities. He noted that India, having completed 75 years as a Republic, had earned immense pride, marking its significance in the democratic world.

“Today, on the occasion of the start of the Budget Session, we remember Goddess Lakshmi, who bestows wisdom, prosperity, and welfare,” said PM Modi.

Reflecting on the third term of his government, he acknowledged the trust bestowed upon him by the people of India and expressed confidence in the country’s journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047, the centenary of India’s independence.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the government is moving forward in a “mission mode” to ensure all-round development, with a focus on innovation, inclusion, and investment. He further emphasized the significance of reform, performance, and transformation as the pillars of rapid development.

“Reform, perform, and transform is the way forward for achieving rapid progress,” PM Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister underscored the importance of collaboration between state and central governments, stressing that public participation will lead to transformation. He expressed confidence that the next 25 years would be dedicated to making India a prosperous, developed nation, benefiting the youth, who will be key drivers of progress.

“The youth of today, aged 20-25, will lead India into the next century and witness the results of our efforts,” Modi said.

He compared this resolve to the struggle for independence, where the youth of the 1930s and 1940s played a key role in shaping India’s future. PM Modi emphasized that this period is crucial for young Members of Parliament, as their active participation will help shape a developed India.

In closing, the Prime Minister expressed hope that this Budget Session will meet the aspirations of the nation and assured that for the first time in a decade, there were no external attempts to disturb the session.

“This is the first session in the last decade where no disturbances have come from external forces,” he added, reflecting on a peaceful start to the parliamentary proceedings.

PM Modi’s remarks set a tone of optimism for the Budget Session, which is expected to focus on major legislative reforms and initiatives for the country’s development.
