Giriraj Singh says the killing of a Dalit man in Hyderabad is a slap in the face to the ‘tukde tukde’ gang

The suspected case of “honour killing” reported from Hyderabad, according to Union Minister Giriraj Singh, is a “slap in the face of the tukde tukde gang.”
The BJP leader from Bihar claimed that if the victim had been his Muslim wife rather than the “son of a Dalit,” there would have been outrage instead of the current “silence.”
In the Telangana capital, a 25-year-old man was attacked by relatives of his wife, who was riding a pillion on his scooter, and stabbed to death in broad daylight. The incident’s video footage has gone viral on social media.
“The tukde tukde gang is speechless about the murder of a Dalit’s son. His only crime was falling in love with a Muslim girl. If it had been the other way around (agar iska ulta ho jaata), the gang would have been at the perpetrators’ “Singh stated.
The Union Minister, who is known to be at odds with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, appeared unimpressed with his claim that the state had achieved communal peace. “We must reconsider the definition of peace. Hindus have been persecuted in Begusarai, my Lok Sabha constituency. Similar incidents have occurred elsewhere “he claimed.
He also strongly supported a ban on the use of loudspeakers in places of worship, which Kumar had previously criticized as interference in religious practices. “We should take a cue from the Yogi model in neighbouring UP. There has been a crackdown on loudspeakers and nobody can claim that it was targeted against people of any particular faith,” asserted Singh.
Without naming Kumar or his party, Singh also mentioned a recent incident in which his effigy was burned by JD(U) workers in protest of his claim that Hindus were persecuted in Begusarai. “What can we do in the face of such blatant appeasement politics by a party that we support?” Singh lamented.
However, the BJP leader insisted that Hindus were a tolerant people who “fed ants with sugar and offered milk and water to snakes and trees respectively” and were “never ever known to indulge in hurling stones at a taziya procession (held during Muharram)”.
“In contrast, look at what happened during Muharram and what they (Hindus) have to face just for reciting Hanuman Chalisa. Our forefathers divided the country based on religion. But now Hindus are being deprived of their religious rights in their own land,” he said.
In reference to the recent terror module bust in Rajasthan, he stated that there was “a large conspiracy to malign Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image through disruptive activities.”
He also emphasized the need for a population control law, claiming that “it is not possible for the country to meet the needs of so many people with limited resources,” and that “such a constructive step appears unlikely given the fact that the National Register of Citizens (NRC) has been opposed due to vote bank politics.”
