Srinagar, J&K: In Jammu & Kashmir, the Army foiled an infiltration bid near the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez Sector of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. Four army personnel including one Major rank officer martyred and two terrorists were killed in the encounter.
According to the sources a patrolling party of Army (36 Rashtriya Rifles) came face to face with an infiltrating group of terrorists at RC Post on this side of LoC near Govind Nallah in Gurez Sector.
Defence spokesman told AIR that in the ensuing gunfight, four army personnel including a Major rank officer and two terrorists were killed in the operation.
