New Delhi, 13th Feb. Former Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj has launched a YouTube channel, “Berozgar Neta” (“Unemployed Politician”), after losing the 2025 Delhi Assembly election.
Bharadwaj, who was defeated by BJP’s Shikha Roy in Greater Kailash, said his new platform will allow him to interact directly with the public. In his first video, he shared how the election results “flipped his life by 180 degrees” and made him an “unemployed leader.”
In a video posted on Wednesday, he explained that the channel aims to foster open discussions with people. “The Delhi results announced on February 8 have changed many lives, and for leaders like us, it has turned everything upside down,” he said. “People are reaching out to me, and I want to share how a politician’s life changes after losing an election. I will also try to respond to your questions.”
The 45-year-old engineer-turned-politician also announced his YouTube journey on X, inviting people to join him for daily discussions on various topics. His channel has already gained around 52,000 subscribers.
Bharadwaj, a three-time MLA, previously held key portfolios in the Delhi government, including home, health, water, industries, transport, and power. His defeat was part of a broader setback for AAP, as key leaders like Arvind Kejriwal, Somnath Bharti, and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia also lost. The BJP secured 48 out of 70 seats, ending AAP’s rule and forming the Delhi government after 27 years.
