Jammu, 27th Sept. In an election rally during the third phase of campaigning, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized the BJP, promising to restore Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood.

Gandhi accused the BJP of stripping the region of its state status to rule through a Lieutenant Governor and outside influences. “They want to run Jammu and Kashmir through outsiders at the cost of its people,” he said, vowing to fight until statehood is restored.

Gandhi lambasted the BJP’s divisive politics, stating, “Wherever they go, they pit brother against brother, religion against religion, caste against caste.” He added that while the BJP spreads hate, the Congress is spreading love. “For every ounce of hatred they spread, we double it with love,” he declared.

Gandhi also emphasized that if the ‘INDIA’ coalition comes to power, restoring Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood will be a top priority.

Taking aim at the BJP’s economic policies, he accused the government of working for billionaires like Ambani and Adani, using GST and demonetization to hurt small and medium businesses while clearing the path for these industrial giants.
