Flight Operations at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport to be Temporarily Suspended for Aero India 2025

. Passengers traveling via Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) near Devanahalli in Bengaluru are advised to plan ahead as flight operations will face temporary suspensions from February 5 to February 14 due to preparations for the Aero India 2025 Air Show at the Yelahanka Air Base.

The restrictions, aimed at ensuring smooth and safe flight paths for the participating aircraft, align with the schedule of the much-anticipated air show.

Temporary Suspension Schedule:

  • February 5 to 8: No flights will operate from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
  • February 9: Operations will be suspended only from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • February 10: Similar restrictions from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with an additional halt between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
  • February 11 and 12: No flights will operate from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
  • February 13 and 14: Operations will follow the earlier schedule of 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Advisory for Passengers

KIA authorities have urged passengers to remain updated on revised flight schedules by coordinating with their respective airlines. “This precautionary measure is essential to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the aero show, which has always been a significant event,” a representative stated.

Passengers are advised to plan their travel well in advance to minimize inconvenience caused by the temporary halts.

The Aero India Air Show is a prestigious biennial event that attracts global attention, showcasing cutting-edge aviation technology and defense capabilities.
