Farmers finding it difficult to renew their Kisan cards due to the shutdown of the online site due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Dehradun, 15th June. The farmers are finding it difficult to renew their PM Kisan Samman Nidhi cards and upload required documents online due to the website breakdown in the state.
Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion BJJP MLA from Khanpur in a letter written to the agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal has apprised him about the problem being faced by the farmers who are unable to upload their documents required for the renewal or new registration of the Kisan cards in his constituency.
Kunwar Pranav Singh (Champion) said, “The Kisan Krishi card is an important document for the farmers who are unable to renew their cards and are finding difficulty in uploading the required documents due to the shutdown of the website run by the department”. I have requested the agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal to direct the official to rectify the problem and extend the renewal period for one year considering the present circumstances where farmers are unable to go to the department office due to Covid restrictions”.
The farmers from Garhwal are also facing similar difficulties. Budhi Chand from Sarp village near Chinyali Saud said that the Kisan credit card and Kisan Samman Nidhi cards are not working, thus making it difficult for them to renew their cards. The villagers from district Tehri are also finding it difficult in uploading their cards villagers in District Tehri.
The Chief agriculture officer Tehri JP Tiwari said that the website was down for maintenance, and it is due to which the farmer might be facing some problems. For the Kisan credit card, the bank is the authorized agency and if farmers are finding some problem, they can contact the nearest assigned bank for renewal. He also said that they can contact the district agriculture office for further guidance if the problem persists.
