New Delhi, 5th Nov. Today Lakhs of Dalits , Adivasi , OBCs, Minorities and Secularists assembled at Ramlila Maidan of Delhi and pledged to save the Constitution, restoration of Old Pension System (OPS) , Caste Census, no to privatisation, ban on EVM , reservation in higher judiciary and pvt sector .
Dr Udit Raj , Ex MP & national chairman of Confederation of SC/ST/ OBC/ Minorities Organisations, said that PM Modi economic advisor, Mr Bibek Debroy, has conveyed his intention that the Constitution needs to be changed . It is well known facts that PM Modi is brilliant strategist that whatever he wants , tries to gauge the mood of people before . He wants to see the reaction of the Indian masses but he must know that he will not succeed in changing the Constitution . He is successful in taming the common people on various issues but he should not forget that believers of the Constitution are far more in number than what he have ? What Dr Ambedkar said “Whenever there is any conflict of interest between the country and the untouchables, so far as I am concerned, the untouchables’ interests will take precedence over the interests of the country”. Similarly, this Confederation also holds the view that we will reject the nationalism of BJP and RSS and will create won version. The constitution is in danger on the account of enumerable incidences like subversion of the institutions like CBI, ED , IT , Judiciary ; not allowing opposition to speak on the floor ; sale of Govt depts & PSUs created by public money ; making the fourth column crippled; weakening the RTI Act ; helping Adani to loot the wealth means promoting the crony capitalism; politicising the bureaucracy; not allowing president of India to inaugurate parliament building and hence reduced her as rubber stamp , waving off the bank loan of big business houses ; privatisation; destroying of election commission autonomy; rigging of pole through EVM .
The longest serving RSS Chief ,Golwalkar, said that the Indian Constitution is pieces of different Constitutions . RSS burnt the Constitution and the effigy of Dr Ambedkar on 12 Dec, 1949 at Ramlila Maidan of Delhi . Later, the Vajpayee Govt set up a commission in 2000 to review the Constitution but that could not be done due to defeat of the NDA in the 2004 elections. A number of RSS and BJP leaders have expressed similar views and they hate secularism. Muslims & Christians can live on Bharat Bhumi but it is not their pious place and they should have no voting rights ,Savarkar and Golwalkar have held it long ago and if these forces come back to power in 2024,the Constitution will be killed.
It’s a non political movement and have given call join all democratic minded people .

Dr Udit Raj said that the Old Pension System was the deeds of Nehru ji legacy, PM Modi can hate him but why millions of employees are being penalised. On 1st October and on 3rd November also , lakhs of employees had organised rallies at Ramlila Maidan and this Parisangh has same objectives. Under the OPS , pension used to be in thousands and New Pension System has made them beggars after the retirement and most of them are not getting the money to survive. Either this Govt will stay or OPS and both can’t coexist.
For OBC votes , PM Modi becomes pure OBC and when it comes to Caste Census, he becomes super caste Hindu . In a major reshuffle of his ministry, 27 ministers were inducted or shuffled , their name and ministry were not highlighted but their caste identity. Thus he is cheating OBC and no longer it shall continue. Our fight will continue til caste census is done .
Dr Udit Raj further said that if interests of Dalits and Nation collides , former will precede and similarly if Constitution is changed , we will coin our own nationhood and nationalism.
In 10 years of Modi Govt , Dalits and Advisi lost the gains made after independence. The Govt Deptts and PSUs are created by public money and that is being privatised, downsized and sold to the crony the capitalists . It has killed Govt jobs and thus most affected are Dalits and Adivasis . They have been excluded from quality education and that is due to privatisation. It will take decades to compensate this loss if this Govt changes.
