Ex-Himachal CM Jai Ram Thakur Meets BJP Chief Nadda

New Delhi, 14th July. Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly Jai Ram Thakur met with BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda at his residence in the national capital on Thursday.

He briefed Nadda about his visit to flood-affected areas and the current situation in the state, which sustained significant infrastructural damage as a result of the rains.

Jairam Thakur also met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah earlier today.

Nadda is scheduled to visit Himachal Pradesh on Friday to assess the damage caused by floods in the state. He plans to visit flood-affected districts in Mandi and Kullu.

He will be accompanied by Jairam Thakur and Rajeev Bindal, the president of the BJP in Himachal Pradesh.

According to Jai Ram Thakur, the Centre is providing full help to the state in the wake of landslides and flash floods caused by severe rainfall.

Heavy rains killed around 90 persons in Himachal Pradesh between June 24 and July 13.
