Ex-Boyfriend Murders Woman with Spanner Amidst Onlookers’ Shock

Mumbai, 18th June. In a shocking incident captured on CCTV in Vasai, a 20-year-old man brutally beat his ex-girlfriend to death with a spanner on a busy street this morning, as bystanders looked on in horror but failed to intervene.

The victim, identified as Aarti Yadav, was on her way to work around 8:30 am in Vasai’s East Chinchpada area when the assailant, Rohit Yadav, attacked her. Security footage reveals the chilling sequence: Rohit approached Aarti from behind and struck her on the head with a spanner, causing her to collapse. Despite attempts by a bystander to intervene, Rohit continued the assault, delivering around 15 blows to her head until she lay motionless on the ground.

In a separate video recorded by an onlooker, Rohit is seen standing over Aarti’s lifeless body, still clutching the bloodied spanner. He was heard screaming in anguish and accusing the deceased, before delivering a final blow and then discarding the weapon amidst the crowd.

Local authorities swiftly responded to the scene and apprehended Rohit Yadav. Police sources indicated that the suspect had been distraught over the end of his relationship with Aarti and suspected her of moving on with someone else. He has been taken into custody and will face charges of murder.

The disturbing incident has sparked outrage and renewed discussions on public safety and bystander intervention, as many witnesses failed to intervene despite the violent nature of the assault.

Authorities have assured that stringent action will be taken against the perpetrator as investigations into the case continue.
