Lucknow. 10th May: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday attended an event at City Montessori School (CMS) in Lucknow, where he emphasized concerns regarding social media use during times of escalating tensions and urged the public to prioritize “Nation First.” This follows his engagement with World Bank Group President Ajay Banga on Friday to discuss state development initiatives.

Speaking at the CMS event, the Chief Minister voiced concern over some individuals attempting to undermine the morale of the armed forces through online posts. “Today, a few people post tweets on social media that aim to weaken the morale of our soldiers. Why is this happening? Everyone’s goal should be ‘Nation First’,” he stated. He added that working with a “Nation First” spirit builds a generation that ensures the country’s safety and self-reliance.

CM Yogi also paid tribute to the late CMS founder, Jagdish Gandhi, praising his courage and dedication in establishing a meaningful educational institution. He highlighted the school’s current enrollment of approximately 65,000 students as a “major achievement.” The Chief Minister appreciated a cultural performance by students themed “Adi Yogi,” and honoured top-ranking students, thanking teachers for their contributions. He recalled the founder’s arrival in Lucknow “about 70 years ago with nothing but their hard work,” crediting their efforts for CMS’s “special place across the country.”

Earlier on Friday, CM Yogi met with World Bank Group President Ajay Banga in Lucknow. Welcoming Banga to the state, the Chief Minister mentioned seeking support from the World Bank for the UP-AGREES programme. “To increase productivity in eastern Uttar Pradesh as well, we have sought help from the World Bank in the UP-AGREES (Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Development and Rural Enterprise Ecosystem Strengthening) program,” CM Yogi stated, noting the higher agricultural productivity in western UP compared to the eastern part.

CM Yogi also discussed the Poshan Abhiyaan as an important mission supported by the World Bank under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, mentioning the Take-Home Ration (THR) initiative in Uttar Pradesh as a step in this direction. He added that the World Bank team is scheduled to visit the THR plant in Lucknow.
