Hisar: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah unveiled a grand statue of Maharaja Agrasen, inaugurated a newly constructed ICU, and laid the foundation stone for a PG hostel in Hisar on Sunday.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and other dignitaries were present at the event.
Shah emphasized Haryana’s rich cultural heritage and its contributions to India’s development. He lauded Maharaja Agrasen’s governance model, which focused on individual prosperity without burdening the state. He also noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is following a similar path, lifting 25 crore people out of poverty and enhancing social welfare schemes.
The Home Minister highlighted the Modi government’s ₹64,000 crore investment in public health infrastructure, tripling the health budget to ₹1.33 lakh crore in FY26.
He announced that every district in India will have a medical college within the next five years, with MBBS and PG seats seeing a significant increase.
Addressing Haryana’s governance, Shah credited the double-engine government for transparent employment, with 80,000 jobs provided without bribes. He praised Haryana’s achievements in sports, agriculture, and military representation.
Shah also commended the Agarwal community for its entrepreneurial spirit and contributions to the nation’s growth. The event underscored the government’s commitment to healthcare, infrastructure, and social development in Haryana.
