New Delhi, 24th Dec. Dr. Tanu Jain’s remarkable journey from dentistry to becoming an IAS officer and now a dedicated educator has inspired many. A 2015 IAS batch officer, Tanu hails from the Sadar area of Delhi and completed her schooling at Cambridge School. She pursued a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Subharti Medical College while also preparing for the UPSC exam.
Tanu’s path to success was not without challenges. Despite clearing the UPSC preliminary examination in just two months on her first attempt, she faced setbacks in the mains. However, her determination remained unwavering, and in her third attempt in 2014, she achieved an All India Rank of 648. After her success, she spent over seven years in the civil services, focusing on healthcare reforms and educational initiatives.
Despite a fulfilling career in the IAS, Dr. Jain made the bold decision to resign from her position to pursue her passion for teaching. Recognizing the challenges faced by UPSC aspirants, she wanted to help others navigate these hurdles. “My job in civil services was fulfilling, but I wanted to help others navigate the challenges of UPSC preparation,” she shared.
In pursuit of her new passion, Dr. Tanu Jain established Tathastu ICS, her own coaching institute. Through this platform, she provides guidance and support to aspiring civil servants. Her engaging motivational speeches and practical advice have earned her a substantial following, with over 840,000 followers on Instagram.
In addition to her coaching efforts, Dr. Jain writes and conducts mock interviews for UPSC candidates, helping them enhance their preparation strategies. Her story is a testament to resilience, dedication, and the drive to empower others in their pursuit of success in civil services.
