New Delhi, 25th August. Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, has called upon all citizens to engage in outdoor sports for at least one hour on National Sports Day. Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a fitter India, encapsulated in the phrase “Khelega India, Khilega India” (When India plays, India blossoms), Dr. Mandaviya urged participation in the Fit India Movement.
“Prime Minister Modi’s dream is to make India a fit nation,” Dr. Mandaviya said, highlighting the importance of the Fit India Movement as a national program. He emphasized that maintaining health and staying active is a collective responsibility. “Play any sport, stay fit!” he encouraged, inviting everyone to join this nationwide celebration.
Dr. Mandaviya noted that National Sports Day is a chance to honor sports heroes and underscores the role of sports in leading a balanced, healthy life. He urged people to celebrate with family and friends and contribute to building a fit and active India.
