Odisha S&T Minister Krushna Chandra Patra Calls on Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh

 Odisha’s Minister for Science and Technology, Food Supply, and Consumer Welfare,  Krushna Chandra Patra, met with Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh in New Delhi on Saturday.

Dr. Singh, who holds several key portfolios, including Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, and Space, congratulated Patra on his recent victory in the state assembly elections and his appointment as a minister.

During the meeting, Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized the potential of a “double engine government,” with both the central and state governments working in unison to place Odisha prominently on the investment map. He expressed optimism that this collaboration would spur entrepreneurship and innovation among the youth in the state.

Dr. Singh highlighted Odisha’s contributions to science and technology, noting that the state is home to several institutions under his ministry, particularly those related to space and technology. He praised the state’s historical and ongoing contributions to India’s scientific community.

Patra commended the achievements of the scientific ministries under Dr. Singh’s leadership and sought his guidance and support for further developments in Odisha. In response, Dr. Singh assured him of full cooperation from the Union government.

Dr. Singh also remarked, “People have reposited their faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and chose development.”

He expressed confidence that Odisha will play a crucial role in India’s development and in achieving the nation’s Vision 2047, showcasing an example of competitive cooperative federalism.
