New Delhi, 9th May: Amid heightened India- Pakistan tensions, the Nationalist Congress Party’s National General Secretary and Chief Spokesperson Brijmohan Shrivastava has urged its members and workers across the country, particularly those in border states, to exhibit vigilance, unity, and increased activism.
Shrivastava termed the current situation as a “crucial phase of the war” where the Indian Army is “facing the challenges of the enemies with courage and determination.” He stressed that it is the duty of every party member, especially those in states like Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Gujarat, to work “unitedly, vigilantly, and courageously and with even more activism in our respective areas.”
He emphasized the need for NCP workers to act as responsible citizens dedicated to the country’s interests.
He further said that a key responsibility is the active discouragement and refutation of “rumours, fake news and fearmongering” in discussions and on social media platforms.
Shrivastava noted that the party’s respected leaders, National President Ajit Pawar and National Working President Praful Patel, are closely monitoring the situation. He instructed members to remain active in their areas in accordance with the leaders’ wishes and to maintain contact with as many people as possible.
The message concluded with a call for collective action to strengthen national unity, encourage the soldiers, and work towards maintaining courage, peace, and faith among the citizens in their localities, thereby making their role as political workers meaningful during this period.
