Dev Rishi Narad Journalism Awards 2025 Recognise Excellence Across 12 Categories

New Delhi, 28th June: 
The Indraprastha Vishwa Samvad Kendra (IVSK) successfully organised the Dev Rishi Narad Patrakar Samman 2025 on Friday, June 27, at Speaker Hall Annexe, Constitution Club, Delhi. The ceremony honoured 12 journalists across various categories for their distinguished contributions to journalism.

Those honoured included:

  • Subhi Vishwakarma, Senior Correspondent, Organiser – Outstanding Young Journalist
  • Smriti Rastogi, Political Editor, Dainik Jagran Digital – Excellence in Women-Centric Journalism
  • Amit Kumar, Correspondent, Punjab Kesari – Innovative Journalism
  • Sanjeev Gupta, Chief Correspondent, Dainik Jagran – Rural/Environment Journalism
  • Parmanand Khetan, Editor, NMF News – Outstanding Content Creator (YouTube)
  • Dr. Monika Verma, Asst. Professor, NECU – Content Creator (X)
  • Kiran Yadav – Content Creator (Instagram)
  • Shweta SinghRepublic Shankhnad – Courageous Journalism
  • Anupam Kumar Singh, Associate Editor, OpIndia – Digital Journalism
  • Prof. Niranjan Kumar, Dean Planning, DU – Columnist
  • Rajesh Kumar Thakur, Sr. Associate Editor, The New Indian Express – Print Journalism
  • Amrendra Gupta, Sr. Correspondent, DD News – TV Journalism

Awardees received a certificate, memento, shawl, and a cheque of ₹11,000 each.

The entries were invited online across 12 categories, and a distinguished jury was constituted to evaluate the submissions. The jury included eminent editors and media professionals such as Ashutosh Jha (Dainik Jagran), Priya Kumar (DG, DD News), Naveen Kapoor (ANI), Anand Narasimhan (Network18), Rahul Roushan (OpIndia), and social media influencer Harish Chandra Barnwal.

Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Chairman of Prasar Bharati, urged journalists to steer clear of fake news and adhere to factual, responsible reporting to maintain public trust.

RSS’s All India Joint Publicity Head Pradeep Joshi, who was the keynote speaker, said journalists are heirs of the Narad tradition and must focus on public interest. “As India moves towards becoming a Vishwaguru by 2047, journalists play a crucial role in taking meaningful narratives to society,” he remarked. “Journalists are the true charioteers of India’s glorious development journey,” he added.

RSS Delhi Prant Karyawah Anil Gupta expressed pride in honouring journalists in the Sangh’s centenary year. He highlighted upcoming programmes, including the Vijayadashami Shatabdi Utsav and outreach initiatives like Hindu Sammelans across Delhi’s settlements.

Chairman of the jury and Dainik Jagran National Editor Ashutosh Jha elaborated on the transparent selection process for the awards.

The event saw participation from prominent guests, editors, senior journalists, and social media influencers.

IVSK Vice President Ritesh Agarwal introduced the organisation, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Seema Ojha.
