Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said the S-400 Triumf air defence missile deal with Russia will have no effect of US sanctions. India will go ahead with Moscow on this.
Referring to the Countering America’s Adversaries (CAATSA) through Sanctions Act, under which the Trump administration has imposed sanctions on military deals with Russia, “Our defence relation with Russia has endured several decades and we have conveyed it to US Congress delegation which visited India few weeks ago,” Sitharaman said.
