New Delhi, 28th Nov. Pollution levels in the national capital increased slightly on Thursday, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 313, up from 301 the previous morning, according to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data. The air remains in the ‘very poor’ category.
A thick haze continues to shroud Delhi, with no monitoring stations reporting ‘severe’ air quality levels. An AQI between 301 and 400 falls under the ‘very poor’ category, which poses health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.2°C, slightly below the seasonal average, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 26°C under mainly clear skies, according to the forecast.
Delhi’s air quality remains a pressing concern as winter conditions exacerbate pollution levels. Authorities urge residents to take precautions, particularly the elderly and those with respiratory conditions.
