Delhi Police Apprehend Six, Including Minors, in ₹70 Lakh Robbery Case in Chandni Chowk

Delhi Police have apprehended six individuals, including two minors, involved in a daring robbery amounting to ₹70 lakh at Govind Agency in Naya Bazar, Chandni Chowk. The heist, which occurred on June 9, targeted cash collection staff member Chaggo Mal Pande, 76, who reported the loss of approximately ₹23 lakh in cash along with an undisclosed sum from another bag.

A swift response by an eight-member Delhi Police team led to coordinated searches across Mussoorie, Dehradun, and Delhi, resulting in the arrests within just 28 hours of the crime. The police operation also yielded a recovery of ₹30 lakh in cash.

Key breakthroughs in the investigation were attributed to crucial CCTV footage and technical surveillance, which enabled the tracking of suspects’ movements.

Among those apprehended, three suspects identified as Chinar Amariya (23), Paras (20), Sharad (19), and a juvenile were captured in Mussoorie, where ₹14.3 lakh in cash, shares worth ₹1.2 lakh, and a Yamaha R1 bike were seized. In Dehradun, three more suspects, including Rohit (20), were arrested with ₹9.4 lakh in cash and mobile phones valued at ₹4.5 lakh, reportedly purchased with the stolen funds.

Efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend the remaining two suspects. The Delhi Police have intensified their efforts with continuous raids aimed at recovering the remaining stolen money and ensuring justice in the case.
