New Delhi, 17th Aug. In commemoration of Independence Day and as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Delhi Police Academy, Jharoda Kalan, organized the inspiring “Har Ghar Tiranga Run” from Dwarka to India Gate, promoting the hoisting of the Indian flag with fervor and patriotism.
Under the banner of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, 30 enthusiastic trainees from the Marathon Club of Delhi Police Academy, Jharoda Kalan, along with approximately 40-45 police personnel with their family members, came together to participate in this noble run. Participants were handed national flags to carry along the route, symbolizing their unity and love for the nation.
The Har Ghar Tiranga Run commenced at the break of dawn, precisely at 04:50 AM, from Golf Link Road, Dwarka.
The runners showcased their dedication as they traversed the route, finally reaching the iconic India Gate at 07:30 AM. Covering a distance of 21.1 kilometers (Half Marathon), all trainees embodied the spirit of endurance and patriotism.
Notably, members of the Delhi Police Running Club undertook an even more remarkable feat by running from Dwarka to India Gate and back, encompassing an impressive distance of 77 kilometers and 50 kilometers.
The sight of participants carrying the national flag evoked a sense of pride and unity, inspiring fellow citizens and encouraging a strong sense of patriotism within the community.
The marathon wasn’t just a run; it was an embodiment of fervent nationalism.
During their run/ride, they graciously distributed national flags to the public, who received them with warmth and reverence along their route.
SK Gautam (IPS), Special Commissioner of Police/Training, wholeheartedly endorsed and supported this campaign. Sh. Vijay Singh (IPS), Director of Delhi Police Academy and a dedicated marathon runner himself, not only motivated the participants but also played a pivotal role in organizing the event.
The Delhi Police Academy remains steadfast in its commitment to organizing such motivational and uplifting events for its trainees.
These events not only promote physical fitness and well-being but also instill a sense of responsibility towards society.
