Delhi Govt Declares Five Dry Days in April-June 2025

New Delhi: The Delhi government has announced five dry days in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal, ordering liquor shops to remain shut on key religious occasions, including Ram Navami and Good Friday.

According to a recent order issued by the excise department, liquor shops in the national capital will be closed on:

  • Ram Navami – April 6
  • Mahavir Jayanti – April 10
  • Good Friday – April 18
  • Buddha Purnima – May 12
  • Eid-ul-Zuha – June 6

Excise Commissioner Sunny Singh stated that the decision aligns with Rule 52 of the Delhi Excise Rules, 2010. The order also mandates liquor licensees to prominently display the notice on their premises.
