New Delhi, 23rd Sept. A Delhi court on Monday granted interim bail until December 7 to Abhishek Gupta, CEO of Rau’s IAS Study Circle, and coordinator Deshpal Singh in connection with the tragic death of three civil services aspirants in July, which occurred in the centre’s flooded basement.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna provided relief to the accused on a personal bond of ₹1 lakh each, accompanied by two sureties of the same amount.

The court mandated Gupta to deposit ₹2.5 crore by November 30 with the Red Cross Society. The judge emphasized that, as per the lease agreement of the premises, Gupta, as the lessee and CEO of the institute, is solely responsible for any claims or damages incurred by any individual or property.

The court noted that Gupta and Singh were in charge of the affairs of Rau’s IAS Study Circle at the time of the incident.
