New Delhi, 4th July. The Delhi Assembly expressed its condolences on Monday for the brutal beheading of a tailor in Udaipur, as well as for the victims of the Mundka fire, the Manipur landslide, and a bus accident in Himachal Pradesh.

The first day of the Assembly session began with obituaries for those killed in various incidents.

Ram Niwas Goel, the speaker of the Delhi Assembly, expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the Mundka fire incident and the Manipur landslide.

On May 13, at least 27 people were killed after a roaring fire engulfed a commercial building in Delhi’s Mundka area.

On Wednesday night, a massive landslide hit the railway construction site in Manipur’s Noney district.

So far, the bodies of 42 people have been discovered beneath the rubble at the Tupul yard railway construction camp. There are 27 Territorial Army personnel and 15 civilians among them, including railway workers, construction workers, and villagers.

Earlier, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, the Delhi Assembly’s Leader of Opposition, demanded that the House also pay tribute to the Udaipur tailor who was brutally murdered last week.

His demand was supported by Aam Aadmi Party MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj, who stated that the incident was unfortunate for all communities. He also stated that those who have been killed in the Himachal Pradesh bus accident should be remembered.

On Monday, a private bus carrying sixteen people, including schoolchildren, crashed into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district.

Tailor Kanhaiya Lal was beheaded last Tuesday afternoon by two cleaver-wielding men who claimed responsibility for the murder by posting a grisly video of the crime online.

Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad, the two accused, have been placed in judicial custody for 14 days.

The assembly also observed a two-minute silence in memory of the deceased.
