Defence Ministry Signs Agreement Worth ₹39,125 Crore for Military Procurements

New Delhi, 1st March. 
The Ministry of Defence finalized five military procurement agreements totaling ₹39,125 crore on Friday.

Among these contracts, one was signed with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for acquiring aero-engines for MiG-29 aircraft.

Additionally, two contracts were made with Larsen & Toubro Limited for the purchase of close-in weapon systems (CIWS) and high-power radar.

The remaining two agreements were secured with BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited for procuring BrahMos missiles.

The ministry emphasized that these deals will enhance indigenous capabilities, bolster national security, reduce reliance on foreign equipment manufacturers, and contribute to saving foreign exchange.
