New Delhi, 9th Sept. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, paid a visit to President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, further strengthening the ties between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the meeting, President Murmu expressed her pleasure at welcoming the third generation of UAE leadership to Rashtrapati Bhavan, highlighting the enduring high-level engagement between the two nations. She emphasized that the bilateral relationship has evolved significantly over the past decade, thanks to the visionary leadership of both countries.
The President noted that the visit marks a significant step in expanding the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE. Several agreements in new areas of cooperation were signed during the Crown Prince’s visit, underscoring the deepening of the partnership.
President Murmu highlighted the importance of people-to-people ties, noting that over 35 lakh Indian citizens reside in the UAE. She commended the UAE leadership for their care and support, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the welfare of Indian expatriates.
Both leaders acknowledged the shared values of peace, tolerance, and harmony that define their societies, reflecting the principles upheld by Mahatma Gandhi and Sheikh Zayed.
The President also lauded the high participation and contributions of women in Emirati society, recognizing the role of women-led development in achieving socio-economic progress.
