Gandey, 14th Nov. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, stating that the “countdown” for the Soren government had started after the initial phase of Assembly election polling. Shah expressed confidence that the BJP would secure victory in Jharkhand, accusing Soren and the JMM-led coalition of “plundering” the state’s resources and siphoning off funds.

Addressing a rally in Gandey, Shah claimed that the Soren administration had misused Rs 3.90 lakh crore allocated by the Centre for the state’s poor. “Each and every paisa looted from people will be returned to the state’s treasury,” Shah declared, vowing that the BJP would put an end to the alleged misuse of public funds.

He further alleged that Jharkhand’s tribal and OBC populations have declined due to “rampant infiltration” under Soren’s leadership, suggesting that vote-bank politics had taken priority. Shah specifically named Kalpana Soren, wife of Hemant Soren and JMM legislator from Gandey, asserting that her stance reflects the ruling coalition’s agenda.

Shah also took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, criticizing his absence from the Ayodhya Ram temple, and emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to restoring ‘Ram Lala’ to the temple after residing in a tent for 500 years.

The statements come amid heightened political rhetoric as parties vie for a decisive victory in the ongoing Jharkhand Assembly elections.
