New Delhi, 7th April. In order to take on actor Kangana Ranaut, the BJP’s nominee for the Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, the Congress is putting together a fresh plan of attack.
According to insiders, the party intends to put State Minister Vikramaditya Singh, the state Congress Chief and son of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, against the Bollywood actor.
Previous reports indicate that Pratibha Singh, the state Congress Chief and current MP from Mandi, informed the party leadership that she was not interested in running for office. But the party had suggested to the Congress leader that they run for office again in the Lok Sabha elections. “According to Congress’s internal survey, Vikramaditya Singh figured better candidate in the constituency,” according to a source.
Kangana Ranaut Previously Said She Ate: Congress Leader
On Friday, Congressman Vijay Wadettiwar caused a commotion when he claimed that the Bollywood star had previously stated that she consumed beef.
A Maharashtra BJP official responded to the statement by saying it demonstrated the “dirty culture” of the Congress. The leader of the opposition in the state assembly, Wadettiwar, asserted during a rally that Ranaut was awarded a ticket by the BJP for the Lok Sabha elections because she had written on Twitter (now X) that she enjoyed eating beef.
Furthermore, he asserted that the BJP welcomed all corrupt officials
Keshav Upadhye, a BJP spokesperson, responded, “This reflects Congress’ dirty culture,” when asked for his thoughts. It can’t argue with us about things. This demonstrates the defeatist mindset of the party.” Kangana Ranaut is asked by Congress to name one thing she has done for Mandi.
The BJP candidate for the Mandi parliamentary seat was questioned by Himachal Pradesh Congress general secretary Rajneesh Kimta, who asked her to “name one thing that she has done for the constituency from where she is contesting.”
“Is the BJP cadre pleased that Kangana’s name was revealed? Was her name selected by the Center, or did the state leadership propose it?” He questioned her and asserted that the BJP has “opposition” to her.
He also criticized Ranaut for saying that Vikramaditya Singh wasn’t from Mandi, and he urged BJP officials to help her become more politically knowledgeable about the area.
He stated, “Vikramaditya Singh is from the Rampur assembly constituency which falls under the Mandi Lok Sabha seat,” and claimed the politician-turned-actor was unaware that her area included 17 assembly constituencies.
