Congress Wouldn’t Have Included Kejriwal in INDIA Bloc if Given a Choice: Pawan Khera

New Delhi, 5th Feb. Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera on Tuesday stated that if given a choice, the Congress party would not have included Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in the INDIA bloc.

“If Congress was given a choice, I don’t think he (Arvind Kejriwal) would have been a part (of the INDIA bloc). I don’t think we on our own took him or dumped him. He dumped himself out,” Khera told ANI.

His remarks came after AAP announced plans to contest all seats in the Haryana and Delhi assembly elections. In a veiled reference to Kejriwal, Khera said, “If someone has megalomania, there’s no cure for it.”

He emphasized that Congress was committed to keeping alliances together but accused AAP of lacking ideological consistency. He also dismissed speculation about Congress supporting AAP in case of a hung assembly, stating that Delhi voters have always voted decisively.

Khera further compared AAP with Shiv Sena (UBT), asserting that AAP lacks ideology and accusing Kejriwal of treating governance as a “business transaction.”

His remarks reflect the growing rift between Congress and AAP within the opposition alliance.
