New Delhi, 22nd Dec. Commercial LPG prices have been reduced by Rs 39.50 per 19-kg cylinder, following a decrease in international benchmarks.
However, the price of domestic LPG used for cooking in households remains unchanged at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder.
The new price for commercial LPG in the national capital is now Rs 1,757 per 19-kg cylinder, down from Rs 1,796.50. State-owned oil firms last increased the price of commercial LPG by Rs 21 on December 1.
The rates for commercial LPG vary across different states due to local taxation. The benchmark used for pricing LPG, the Saudi contract price (CP), has decreased recently due to oversupply concerns.
State-owned oil companies revise cooking gas and ATF prices on the 1st of every month based on the average international price from the previous month. However, the revision on Friday is an exception.
Petrol and diesel prices have remained unchanged for a record 21 months. Petrol costs Rs 96.72 per litre in the national capital, while diesel is priced at Rs 89.62 per litre.
