CM Yogi Reviews Law and Order, Public Welfare Ahead of Festivals

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath convened a meeting on Thursday to assess law and order and the implementation of public welfare schemes in anticipation of upcoming festivals.

The meeting included officers from zonal, division, range, and district levels. Adityanath emphasized the importance of addressing the views and concerns of various organizations, including farmer groups, while ensuring that no group is allowed to create disorder.

The Chief Minister also reviewed ongoing flood relief and rescue operations. He directed police to remain vigilant during the upcoming festivals of Nag Panchami, Shravan, the centenary of the Kakori train action, Rakshabandhan, Chehlum, and Janmashtami.

A statewide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign will be held from August 13 to 15, encouraging the hoisting of the Tricolor at every residence and office. In addition, women will be permitted free travel on State Road Transport Corporation buses from the night of August 18 through August 19 in celebration of Rakshabandhan.

Adityanath instructed officials to monitor and counteract fake news promptly. “All districts must stay alert. Any fake news should be immediately corrected with facts,” he added.
