Raipur, 3rd May: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a 5 MW AI Data Center Park by M/s RackBank at Sector-22 in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. He declared the initiative a cornerstone in Chhattisgarh’s transformation into a model state for India’s AI revolution.

Speaking at the ceremony, the CM emphasized that the AI and software industry is giving Chhattisgarh global recognition, complementing its traditional identity as a hub for coal, steel, iron ore, and energy. “With AI, semiconductors, and digital services, we are preparing the youth of Chhattisgarh not only to lead but to create,” he asserted.

Highlighting the significance of the project, CM Sai said the data center will generate direct employment for over 500 people and catalyze many more job opportunities indirectly. The ₹1,000 crore project will house Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), boosting AI computing infrastructure and encouraging semiconductor manufacturing.

Referring to the ongoing 25th anniversary of the state’s formation, CM Sai said the government is committed to inaugurating the data center by this year’s foundation day. “This AI center embodies PM Modi’s vision of ‘Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan’ and lays the groundwork for a developed Chhattisgarh,” he added.

CM Sai noted that the state’s new industrial policy has transformed investor confidence. “In just five months, we’ve attracted investment worth ₹4.5 lakh crore. Businesses no longer need to run from department to department—approvals are now just a click away,” he said.

He also highlighted that a State-of-the-Art NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology) center will soon be set up on 10 acres of land provided free of cost in Nava Raipur, further boosting digital skills.

The Chief Minister concluded by asserting Chhattisgarh’s potential to lead India in knowledge-based economy sectors, leveraging its premier engineering institutions and new AI-driven educational programs. “We are developing Nava Raipur into an IT, Meditech, and Pharmaceutical hub,” he affirmed.
