Bhopal, 11th April. The Madhya Pradesh government has taken the incident of stone pelting by chaotic elements on Ram Navami processions in Khargone and Barwani of Madhya Pradesh very seriously.
State Home Minister Narottam Mishra has given a stern warning to the rioters and said that anyone who tried to disturb the peace of the state by throwing stones should be ready for the repercussions.
The Home Minister said that so far 77 people have been arrested in the Khargone incident. He said that there is peace in Khargone now. But the police will continue to do their job and not a single culprit will be spared.
On 10 April 2022, a procession was going out in Khargone on Ram Navami. As soon as it reached the Muslim-dominated area, stones were pelted on the procession. The Sheetla Mata temple was also vandalized. As soon as the matter became communal, heavy police force and top officers reached the spot. SP Siddhartha Chaudhary was also injured in the incident. The police had to use tear gas shells to control the miscreants. Collector Anugrah P had imposed curfew in the city. The procession was also stone pelted yesterday in Sendhwa of Barwani, but the situation is normal there. There is no curfew imposed.
Narottam said that the sleeper cells of the Tukde-Tukde gang, which were upset by the defeat after the election results of five states, were hatching this conspiracy. He said that after the riots in Karoli, Rajasthan, curfew has been imposed till date, but why did those who did politics in Khargone riots not open their mouths about Karoli till date. Because there is a Congress government there.
