Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia Assesses Preparedness of Ayodhya Airport

 Starting this month, devotees from around the world will be able to travel to Ayodhya by air. On Saturday, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction of the Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya.

Scindia announced that the airport will commence operations this month, showcasing Ayodhya’s cultural potential to all.

The first phase, which includes a 2200-meter runway and 8 aprons, is nearing completion.

The airport will cover a total area of 6500 square meters and will be capable of handling 2 to 3 flights per hour, accommodating aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and airbuses.

The Union Civil Aviation Minister also stated that the cabinet will soon approve the second phase of the Shri Ram International Airport, which will extend the runway from 2200 meters to 3700 meters, enabling easy takeoff for international flights and accommodating larger aircraft like the Boeing 787.

Additionally, the airport’s total area will expand from 65000 square feet to 5 lakh square feet in the second phase.

Union Minister General (rtd) VK Singh and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath accompanied Scindia during the inspection. The Minister also offered prayers at the Ram Mandir.
