Raipur, 8th Sep. Governor Anusuiya Uikey has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of World Literacy Day. The Governor has said in her message that literacy is a powerful medium to bring awareness in the society.
The meaning of literacy is not limited to reading and writing, but it is also related to the self-esteem of the general public. To build a strong nation, it is necessary for every citizen to be literate. For the overall development of the country, special attention is needed on girl child education. This has also been given special attention in the new education policy. There is a need for all to work united to give impetus to the efforts to promote literacy.
