Amaravati, 20th Nov. The Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC) on Monday granted regular bail to former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development scam case.
Naidu, who was currently on a four-week temporary bail, recently had cataract surgery and is now recovering at his residence in Hyderabad.
On October 31, the Andhra court granted Naidu interim bail on medical grounds, with the condition that he report to the Rajamahendravaram Central prison before 5 pm on November 28.
The HC reserved its judgment on the bail petition after hearing arguments from both sides.
During the bail plea hearing, the arguments focused on the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 invoked by the CID, and Naidu’s level of involvement in the alleged scam.
Currently, Naidu is still on temporary bail and is recovering from his surgery at his residence in Hyderabad.
