Lucknow, 10th July.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav, accusing them of engaging in corrupt practices during government recruitment processes conducted before 2017.

Addressing a gathering at the Mission Rozgar programme held at Lok Bhavan, Yogi Adityanath highlighted alleged irregularities in previous recruitment drives.

“In 2022, the Revenue Department requested the Subordinate Services Selection Commission to expedite the appointment process. The commission conducted the selection with utmost honesty and transparency. However, certain individuals always seek to obstruct positive initiatives,” said Chief Minister Yogi.

During the event, Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 7,720 accountants (lekhpal) selected through a rigorous recruitment process by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).

“Before 2017, under the SP regime, half of the accountant positions remained vacant due to a recruitment process marred by numerous loopholes. The ‘chacha-bhatija’ duo engaged in corrupt practices, distributing entire districts among their family members even before the recruitment process began,” accused Yogi Adityanath.

Highlighting the state’s progress under his leadership, Yogi emphasized fairness and transparency in the current recruitment drives. He urged the newly appointed accountants to uphold their responsibilities diligently, without relying on recommendations, thereby contributing to the state’s development and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.

“This selection process ensures equal opportunities without discrimination or favoritism. It is imperative for the appointed candidates to maintain a positive image and uphold the integrity of the position,” added Chief Minister Yogi.
