Budget 2024: Andhra Pradesh to Get Rs 15,000 Crore for Capital Development

New Delhi, 23rd July. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a major financial boost for Andhra Pradesh in the Budget 2024-25.

The government has proposed allocating Rs 15,000 crore for the development of the state capital. This significant investment aims to enhance infrastructure and growth in the capital city.

Additionally, Sitharaman said that backward region grants would be provided to three districts in Andhra Pradesh, targeting regional development and support.

Addressing the broader focus of the Budget, Sitharaman highlighted key priorities including employment, skilling, MSMEs, and the middle class.

She introduced a Prime Minister’s package comprising Rs 5 schemes and initiatives, designed to create employment, provide skilling opportunities, and support 4.1 crore youth over a five-year period with a central outlay of Rs 2 lakh crore.
