Buddha’s Teachings Can Guide the World: PM Modi at SAMVAD in Thailand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the SAMVAD programme in Thailand via video message, emphasizing the shared cultural and spiritual ties between India, Japan, and Thailand. He highlighted the role of Bhagwan Buddha’s teachings in fostering peace and harmony, urging global leaders to adopt a human-centric approach.

PM Modi underscored India’s commitment to promoting Buddhist heritage, referencing the Buddhist Circuit, Nalanda University revival, and Kushinagar International Airport. He stressed the importance of avoiding conflict through understanding, moderation, and coexistence with nature.

The Prime Minister also paid tribute to former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, recalling their shared vision for SAMVAD, which continues to facilitate dialogue on Asia’s cultural and philosophical heritage.

He concluded by reaffirming India’s dedication to preserving and propagating Buddha’s teachings, inviting scholars and monks worldwide to visit India—the land of Bhagwan Buddha.
