Tarn Taran, 18th July. The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered four Chinese pistols and 50 rounds of Pakistani-manufactured live bullets along the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab. The recovery was made in the early hours of Thursday by a BSF search party in Kalsian village, Tarn Taran district.
According to a BSF spokesperson, the recovery was based on specific information. The seized items included four pistols with empty magazines, 50 live rounds of 9×19 caliber, and eight metal pins, all found in a yellow packet with illuminating sticks on top. It is suspected that the ammunition was dropped by a drone.
The recovered bullets were marked ‘POF’ (Pakistan Ordnance Factories), indicating their origin in Pakistan.
“This significant seizure underscores the BSF’s steadfast commitment to thwart the malicious activities of Pakistan-based sponsors of terrorism operating on Indian soil,” the spokesperson stated in a release. This comes shortly after BSF personnel recovered three pistols near the International Border in Fazilka district.
