Bomb Threat Hoax on Air India Flight; Safe Landing in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, 4th Sept. An Air India flight traveling from New Delhi to Visakhapatnam received a bomb threat late Tuesday night. However, after a thorough inspection upon landing in Visakhapatnam, authorities confirmed the threat was a hoax.

Visakhapatnam Airport Director S. Raja Reddy reported that Delhi Police had received the bomb threat call and promptly alerted the airline and the Visakhapatnam airport. The flight, carrying 107 passengers, landed safely, and after deboarding the passengers and conducting a comprehensive search of the aircraft, no suspicious items were found.

Director Reddy informed PTI that boarding for the return flight to Delhi has commenced and is scheduled to depart around 12:30 am. The incident caused no harm, and normal operations have resumed.
