New Delhi, 17th Aug. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Central Election Committee (CEM) met in New Delhi on Wednesday to deliberate poll strategy for the upcoming Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, as well as party president JP Nadda, were present during the meeting.
The names of candidates for the Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections were discussed by the BJP leadership.
Senior BJP leader Om Mathur is the election-in charge of Chhattisgarh.
The BJP in Madhya Pradesh has named Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar as the Convenor of its election management committee for the State Assembly elections. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav is the election-in charge of the State.
