New Delhi, 27th March.
A delegation from the Delhi BJP met with Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on Wednesday to request an investigation into the letters Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is said to have sent to his ministers while in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 and has been held in ED custody until March 28 in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy. He is accused of being directly involved in a conspiracy related to the formulation of the policy that favored specific individuals.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva informed reporters that during the meeting with Arora at the Delhi Police Headquarters, the party’s delegation requested an investigation into the authenticity of the letters allegedly written by Kejriwal. They also called for an inquiry into the involvement of his ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, who claim to have received the letters.

Sachdeva claimed, “There is a procedure for such letters to be sent by a person in ED custody after proper attestation. Based on the information I have, these letters are fake.”

Last week, Water Minister Atishi displayed a note from Kejriwal, stating that the chief minister had instructed her to address water supply and sewer issues in the city.

Health Minister Bharadwaj also stated on Tuesday that Kejriwal had directed him from ED custody to ensure free medicines and lab tests are available at government hospitals and Mohalla Clinics.
