BJP MLA Rebukes Forest Dept Employee Over Cases Against Villagers

GG News Bureau
Jaipur, 5th Dec. A BJP MLA from Rajasthan’s Lalsot in Dausa district has reportedly rebuked a forest department employee for filing two cases against villagers. Ram Bilas Meena allegedly asked the official to withdraw the cases, which were registered for obstruction of government work.

A video circulating on social media shows the MLA demanding that the cases be dropped. When contacted, Meena told PTI that the cases were filed by Ranger Radheshyam against seven to eight villagers for “obstruction in government work.”

According to Meena, the issue arose when villagers filled pits between their farms and the road, during which some trees planted by the department were removed. The villagers had reportedly promised to replant the trees, but the cases were still filed.

The forest department registered the cases for illegal mining, damage to government property, obstruction of government work, and allegations of abuse and assault. Meena noted that the cases were filed two days prior to his intervention.
