South Delhi, 4th Jan. Senior BJP leader and former MLA of Delhi’s 3rd Legislative Assembly, Dr. Vijay Jolly, has raised alarm over cyber fraudsters creating fake Facebook profiles in his name to solicit fraudulent monetary transactions.

Dr. Jolly revealed in a press statement that two fake Facebook IDs—Vijay Joly Bjp VJ and V.J. Vijay Jolly—have been operating for the past few months. The fraudsters allegedly contacted his friends and acquaintances, attempting to sell purportedly packed goods of a CRPF Commandant for ₹80,000.

In response, Dr. Jolly filed a written complaint via email to the Cyber Cell of Saket Police Station on January 1, 2025.

Issuing an appeal, Dr. Jolly urged his friends and the public to remain vigilant. “Do not fall prey to cyber traps from unknown individuals. Avoid accepting Facebook friend requests without proper verification and refrain from transferring money without investigation,” he said, emphasizing the need for caution in such situations.

The BJP leader concluded his statement by advising everyone to stay safe and alert in the face of increasing cyber threats.
