Paras Nath Rai is the manager of Madan Mohan Malviya Inter College and is counted among the close associates of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Manoj Sinha.
Paras Nath Rai is associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and has never contested any elections before. Paras Nath Rai resides in the Sikhdai gram sabha of the Manihari block in Ghazipur and is associated with the education sector.
Apart from Paras Nath Rai, the BJP has nominated Neeraj Shekhar from Ballia, Jayveer Singh Thakur from Mainpuri, Vinod Sonkar from Kaushambi, Praveen Patel from Phulpur, Neeraj Tripathi from Allahabad, and BP Saroj from Machhlishahr.
