New Delhi, 16th Jan. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for a major push to break its 27-year dry spell in Delhi, with its eyes set on the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. The party has fielded 59 candidates so far, with prominent names and strategic focus on key constituencies to challenge the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, who is confident of securing a third consecutive term.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP aims to make a strong comeback, factoring in caste dynamics and regional influences to appeal to a broader voter base. The political landscape in Delhi, which has seen two consecutive AAP sweeps in 2015 and 2020, is now at a critical juncture as the BJP prepares for a fierce electoral battle.
