BJP EMERGED AS THE LARGEST PARTY IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR IN DDC ELECTION

In the DDC election of Jammu and Kashmir BJP emerged as the largest party and won 75 seats. According to the latest information of Jammu and Kashmir State Election Authority the NC won 67 seats, PDP-27, PDF-2, CPIM-5, JKPM-3, JKPC-8 and Congress 26.

Bharatiya Janata Party became the single largest party and won 75 seats. The Gupkar alliance won 110 seats. The DDC election was the first election since the abrogation of Article 370 of Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019. BJP’s victory and its emergence as the single largest party is being considered very significant.
