New Delhi, 18th Sep. The BJP has started the preparations for the Rajya Sabha seat of Assam and Madhya Pradesh. The candidates for the by-elections to be held from these seats have been declared by the party. Bharatiya Janata Party has declared Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal as its candidate from Assam. On the other hand Minister of State, Dr. L. Murugan has been fielded from Madhya Pradesh.

These ministers nominated by the BJP for the Rajya Sabha seat were recently included in PM Modi’s council of ministers. Both are required to be elected within six months to remain in Parliament.
BJP’s win in the by-elections to the Rajya Sabha seats is considered certain as BJP is in majority in both the states.
